event launch

“PROMOTING RELATIONAL, PROCESSUAL & SYSTEMS-BASED PERSPECTIVES ON THE THINGS THAT MATTER MOST."  That's the punchline of the new Sky Meadow Institute

Watch the video.

Today," Brendan Graham Dempsey announced on his substack,  “I’m launching a new initiative called Sky Meadow Institute, an organizational effort based out of the 115-acre organic farm and retreat center I run called Sky Meadow. The Institute will become the new programming container for existing and novel efforts aimed at promoting the application of relational thinking (e.g., systems and process thought, complexity science, emergentism, etc.) to the things that matter most (e.g., religion, politics, ecology, etc.)."

Here's what they've got going on so far:

>>> Spring & Fall permacultural study/work residencies
>>> Sky Meadow Printing Press beginning a multi-author line of books on Metamodern Spirituality
>>> Liminal Library stockpiling books on the intersection of complexity & meaning-making.
>>> Metamodern spirituality podcast
>>> Twice-annual metamodern spirituality labs (i.e. retreats)
>>> Specially themed & hosted community events.

That last category (upcoming special events) includes THREE upcoming interweaving retreats featuring Bonnitta Roy and her Pop-Up School:

June 5–9, 2024  - “Recognizing Your Natural State
August 7–11, 2024 -  “Obtaining the Natural State
October 2–6, 2024  - “Abiding in the Natural State

Audacious.

The next two Metamodern Spirituality Labs/Retreats will be in May (immediately following the Denver Future Human Integral Conference) and September (leading into Emerge Toronto).  Track them and learn about other events in the field at liminalweave
