INTEGRAL IS BACK? You might think so with the recent flourishing of Sean Esbjorn-Hargen's
Varieties of Integral Experience, Layman Pascal's unique
Integral Theory for Idiots lectures, the current planning of ICON 2026 in Colorado, and the imminent
Flow to Future from the Integrales Forum at the German Ecovillage of the Steyerberg Garden.
Steyerberg Life Garden focuses on community, ecology, permaculture, spirituality and human development. It is an offshoot of the Scottish Findhorn community which hosts the CAIA Academy and their various event (e.g.
Mindful Medical Women summits). Next week they will host a hybrid conference/festival called Flow to Future.
Here's what they say about it:
>>>
This event combines the depth and structure of a conference with the ease and creativity of a festival. It is a space in which the Integral theory is discussed and lived – through conscious encounters, shared learning and transformative experiences. This event combines the depth and structure of a conference with the lightness and creativity of a festival. It is a space where Integral theory is discussed and lived – through conscious encounters, shared learning and transformative experiences.Their motto for this festival is:
From I to We – Change through Awareness & Community. And this seems to fit with the general emphasis on intersubjectivity and culture change that dominates the current wave of
new & renewed integralism.
FLOW TO FUTURE will feature luminaries like Terri O'Fallon and Tomas Bjorkman, Elke Fein, Boris Lebedev, Bernhard Possert, Tina Teucher. Birgit Viertlbock will be demonstrating her developmental Doletion Therapy. There will be ritual, dance, music, food, integral phenomenology, politics, and more with more than two dozen presenters and facillitators including Jannes Bohmfalk and Laura Olivia Arens who have instigated this project.
Also, I heard a rumor that Parallax maven Tom Amarque is going to try to liven the event up with some integral madness.
Tickets (150-180 €) are
here.
